Christmas Spiced Mulled Wine



One of the best things about the festive season is the mulled wine! We have plenty of markets in the area all offering their own take on the festive favorite but we have our own up our sleeve!!

Ingredients 
1 bottle red wine
1 large oranges juiced 
sticks of cinnamon, or 1 teaspoon of powdered 
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
10 cloves 
2 tablespoons of Grand Marnier (more if you like it potent)
Half a lemon
clementine
4 cubes of candied ginger
2 pieces of candied lime 
1 table spoon of sugar 

Method
Put all of the ingredients except the Grand Marnier into a pot and boil until the sugar is dissolved, then leave to simmer for at least half an hour. For best results you its best to leave the flavours infusing for a while. 
We boiled it up, then left it to simmer while we went to walk our dogs then a couple of hours later warmed it up again. This left the flavours infusing for just long enough to give it extra body, then we added a small amount of Grand Marnier and it Twas super delicious
